Job Description

• Plans the diet of patient as per the recommendation of the doctor.
• Prepares the diet plan according to patient preferences, religious & cultural beliefs and clinical condition.
• Ensures to provide adequate nutrition according to patient’s requirement.
• Makes sure that all patients in her allocated area gets individualized attention.
• Ensure timely assessment and recording of therapy plans done as per protocol.
• Helps the patient to understand the nature of disease and provides insight into the dietary influence on the disease process.
• Provides counseling to inpatient on discharge as referred by doctor and also outpatient counseling to OPD diet clinic.
• Keeps herself updated about professional knowledge, reads journals / literature and recent advances.
• Writes articles / participates in seminars / conferences.
