Job Summary: The Communication and Public Relations Specialist is responsible for managing and enhancing the public image and communication strategies of an organization. This role involves creating and implementing effective communication plans, managing media relations, and crafting compelling content to promote and protect the organization’s reputation. The Specialist will work closely with internal teams/leadership and external stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging and effective public engagement. This role needs proven experience in communication and public relations, with a strong portfolio of successful campaigns and media placements.

Roles And Responsibilities:

• Strategic Communications Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that align with the organization’s goals and objectives. Drive the strategic direction of the communications department, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy.
• Brand Management: Enhance and protect the brand reputation of Apollo Hospitals Group through consistent and effective messaging. Oversee the creation and maintenance of brand guidelines and ensure all communications adhere to these standards.
• Public Relations: Cultivate and manage relationships with media, key stakeholders, and industry influencers. Lead the development and dissemination of press releases, media kits, and other PR materials. Act as the primary spokesperson for the organization, handling media inquiries and interviews.
• Content Creation and Management: Oversee the creation of high-quality content for various platforms, including and not limited to social media, website, and internal portals. Ensure that all content aligns with the organization’s values and strategic priorities. Lead the development of thought leadership content, including articles, narrations, whitepapers, and speeches for senior executives.
• Internal Communications: Develop and implement internal communication strategies to engage and inform employees across the organization. Oversee the creation of internal portals (intranet), memos, and other communication materials.
• Crisis Communication: Lead crisis communication efforts, ensuring timely and effective responses to any issues that may impact the organization’s reputation. Develop and maintain crisis communication plans and protocols.
• Leadership and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing communications team. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment within the communications department.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders internal and external, including government agencies, industry partners, unit heads, cross functional teams across regions and the community.
