Apple’s Interactive Technology organization is part of Apple’s Worldwide Marketing Communications Department (Marcom). Marcom designs and delivers the iconic brand images and experiences to various sites, apps and retail stores. We work on many high-impact projects that serve various Apple lines of business. The Interactive team is exciting and fast-paced; it’s a great place for people with exacting standards who want their work to matter. The Interactive Release Operations team within Marcom is responsible for the successful deployment of updates to www.apple.com (http://www.apple.com/) including those of major launch events and day to day publishing operations. The Interactive Release Manager will be directly supporting producers, development, and content teams that are creating and publishing content to one of Apple’s most trafficked websites. The ideal candidate is someone who has worked in a build/release role previously, has strong communication skills, and knows how to handle the unexpected.

Key Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years experience in designing, developing and deploying scalable enterprise web applications and services
• Minimum 5+ years experience in designing and developing large scale Content Management Systems using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) 6.x on-premise, preferably in Hybrid / Headless approaches
• Hands-on programming experience in Java/J2EE, building and deploying highly scalable REST APIs with deep understanding of Java, J2EE, Servlets, HTL/Sightly skills, combined with enterprise Java frameworks such as Spring.
• Hands on programming experience in designing and developing complex AEM Content Fragments, Nested content fragment models, SPA Editor extensions and integrations with third party tools and AEM launches.
• Proficient in Day CQ / AEM foundational concepts, including the use of core frameworks such as Apache Sling ,Apache Felix, OSGI, solid understanding of all of the related building blocks and the AEM development and on-premise deployment processes for multiple launches in parallel.
• Good understanding of core web technologies including XML, HTML5, CSS, client/server-side-scripting languages such as JavaScript preferably using SPA (Single page application) and web services development using RESTful implementations.
• Work closely with our business to understand their requirement, define the solution, develop POC’s and demo the work in
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Maven, Hudson etc
• Experience in AWS / Cloud approaches is an added advantage

• Experience collaborating with other team members in multiple teams diagnosing and debugging complex systems, and participating in investigating build, deployment and operational issues

Description

– Coordinate and collaborate with Content managers, DevOps, QA, and Platform Engineering to ensure that all of engineering’s responsibilities for a release are met with high quality standards for www.apple.com (http://www.apple.com/) – Good understanding and the use of digital marketing components such as advanced targeting / personalization, and multi-variate testing (MVT) along with customer journey Analytics is nice to have. – Performing internal root cause analysis on all development / integration issues – Identify processes for automation and ensure automation is implemented with a focus on efficiency – Solid knowledge of software development life cycle including agile methods and ability to adjust for what works best – Experience in working in a large enterprise, with a global environment, across multiple timezones and geographies – To be successful you are self-motivated; driven to achieve and exceed expectations

Education & Experience

– Masters in Computer Science & Engineering or equivalent education/experience
