Key Responsibilities
Provides support services to GIS customers for specific IT service or set of services. Adheres to service management processes and procedures to meet customer service level agreements and maintain customer satisfaction.
Completes root cause analysis of outages or incident trends (often working with managed services partner). Recommends preventative action
Monitors specific IT service or set of services for availability and performance, collates and analyzes data to develop recommendations to improve or change technology.
Configures IT technology and executes complex changes while following standard operating procedures and change/release management policies.

Represent IT Service for change management and enterprise architecture discussions.
Oversees the process to ensure up to date and quality technical and end-user documentation for specific IT service or set of services is maintained.

Good Understanding of virtualization technology.Good hands on experience in Administration.Manage 4000+ virtual machines and VM clustersHandling/ Setting/Configuring ESXi Servers.Manage high Performance VMware ClustersAct on Day to Day House Keeping tasks by using tools scriptsDatacenter Management and MonitoringGood understanding of HA and DRS environmentExperience in storage vmotionExperience with VMware SRM /VropsGood Understanding of HPE & UCS Hardware and managing them accordingly.Performance Testing and Benchmarking Infrastructure components based on project needs.Responsible for both Windows VMWare However, VMware server is prime responsibility but taking care of Windows also as a secondary responsibility.Skills Required VMware VSphere Version 6.X,HP and UCS Hardware knowledge and Configuration.Hands on vRA, vRO, vROPS, Log insight.Scripting Knowledge.ESXi installation and Troubleshooting.VM performance troubleshooting.Migration knowledge.Networking concepts like vDS, Standard Switch.SAN knowledge.Knowledge on Windows Server 2008, 2012 and 2016 , RHEL 6.x & UbuntuStrong understanding of NFS, DNS, NIS, SMTP, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, LDAPUnderstanding of supported system architecture and evolving technologiesExcellent understanding of ITIL framework.Non-Technical Skills Highly motivated individual, with a positive pro-active attitude to work, and willingness to make changes to improve operational efficiency through innovation, process and procedure, and adopting and adapting ideas and practices from elsewhere.Initiates dialogue, encourages discussion and shares knowledge willinglyStrong oral and written communication skillsVendor management
