Workday QA Analyst I

Job Description:

Workday Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Analyst I works under the HR Technology Manager and work directly with Project Managers, Developers, and Analysts. Primary responsibilities are collaborating with the above team members, writing test plans and scripts, performing testing on new software development and changes to existing software ensuring compliance to company standards and end-user requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Manage all SQA activities on a project including defect review meetings and creating estimates.

• Build a library of test scenarios on various Workday Business Process.

• Provide guidance and support on all testing activities to team members and testers.

• Review business requirements and creates detailed test plans and test scripts for both manual and automated testing.

• Support testing efforts with bi-annual Workday Releases.

• Write, maintain, and execute simple test scripts using Excel, SharePoint, and soon to be Test Management 2.0 in ServiceNow.

• Use ServiceNow and SharePoint to record defects and to load requirements, test plans and test scripts.

What We Are Looking For

• 4-year degree and 2-4 years of experience or a 2 year degree and equivalent related experience.

• Prior experience working in the Workday infrastructure handling release management and quality assurance testing.

• Functional understanding of the Workday solution (HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Absence and Time Tracking).

• Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team oriented global environment and handle multiple projects.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong business acumen within a technical environment.

• Collaborates with others well.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
