Arthan, in partnership with a Non-Profit organization in Bangalore/Gurgaon, is seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Markets’ Strategy Development Manager. This key position involves developing and managing strategies to engage the private sector and supply chain actors for market access and value chain development.
Key Responsibilities:
-Market Development:
– Create links between producing regions and manufacturers/brands/retail for collaboration.
– Attract and raise awareness of brands and buyers for sustainable and responsible sourcing.
– Map private players globally, nationally, and locally to understand key drivers and bottlenecks.
– Stakeholder Management:
– Understand projects and growth plans of stakeholders to convene them on a collaborative platform.
– Map supply chains and value chains in target regions and crops.
-Value Chain Development:
– Review work across the supply chain to ascertain areas of linkages with the private sector.
– Identify gaps in the value chain and work with the Landscape Secretariat for engagement.
-(Supporting Role) Capacity Building and Training:
– Identify capacity gaps at the ground level and develop plans with Secretariat and government.
Who You Are:
– Analytically strong, self-directed, and able to organize and prioritize work independently.
– Trustworthy and experienced sparring partner with excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
– Results-oriented, flexible, cooperative, and hands-on, with a strong ability to connect with diverse stakeholders.
– Highly proficient in spoken and written English, comfortable in spoken Hindi.
What You Bring:
– 10+ years of relevant experience in international organizations/matrix settings.
– Proven ability in networking and building programs with the private sector and government.
– Experience in Agri Commodity value Chains, specifically for MNCs or Agri businesses.
– Advanced degree in business, economics, agriculture, environment, or related field.
– Proven track record in project management and knowledge of sustainability issues.
– Excellent command of MS Office, presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
– Willingness to travel frequently (30% of time).
Experience in impact investment and/or carbon finance pipeline development is desirable. Experience in working with virtual or remote teams is a plus.
