Senior Software Developer (Backend)r This role has been designated as Edge , which means you will primarily work outside of an HPE office.:r r r InfoSight Senior Software Developer (Backend)InfoSight is HPE s powerful big data analytics based monitoring and predictive analytics solution. It collects about 70 million pieces of information from each Nimble Storage array as well as from all HPE devices, every day. It analyzes such data across the entire install base to show the customer (and resellers) deep insights in very simple and intuitive visuals. It is been recognized by customers and the analyst community as one of the core differentiators for HPE Nimble Storage.InfoSight collects and analyzes sensor data from all HPE products and Predictive Analytics are then used to correlate vast amounts of information to find the needle in the haystack and solve the customers most complex infrastructure issues. As impressive as they are, InfoSight s current capabilities are only the beginning the possibilities for analytics-based monitoring and management are endless and so is the infrastructure that keeps this running like a well-oiled machine.That s where you come in. • Design and develop server-side software that remotely collects and manages application level information
• Technically lead, Design and develop distributed, high-throughput, low-latency, highly available, and resilient SaaS micro services
• Build monitoring tools for server-side components; work cohesively in globally distributed team
• Develop unit test cases to test your code and automate
• Inspire and mentor junior engineers on the team

Education and Experience

• Bachelor/Master degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent discipline
• 5 to 15 years of relevant experience

Requirements:

• Strong 5 years of hands on development experience in Scala / Functional programming is required
• Strong 5 years of hands on development experience in Spark Streaming is required
• Strong proven experience as Technical lead in designing complex modules from high level requirements, estimating, developing, testing and delivering complex SaaS solutions in a team comprising of Dev, QA, Cloud platform, and DevOps engineers
• Strong 5 years of experience in Agile methodologies
• Strong experience with Kubernetes, micro services, cloud environments, and their testing and automation
• Strong experience in Kafka, API development, and server-side programming
• Strong experience in designing and developing Big Data technical stack, distributed systems, Cloud SaaS applications, Monitoring, and CICD
• Exposure to Lagom, Akka Streaming, ELK, GraphQL, Prometheus, and Vertica DB is an advantage
• Exposure to AWS streaming services (Lambda, Redshift, S3, Glue etc.) is an advantage
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
