About The Role

We are looking for a diligent and responsible Security Officer to join our Plant Operations team. This role is crucial in maintaining the safety and security of our facility, employees, and materials. You will be responsible for managing gate operations, security personnel, and liaising with local authorities.

Primary Responsibilities

• Ensure effective gate security control as per standard operating procedures to protect plant property and personnel.
• Maintain zero thefts and vehicular incidents through vigilant supervision.
• Oversee manpower deployment and ensure security staffing levels are met through coordination with service providers.
• Monitor and manage material gate operations , including raw materials, finished goods, and packing material movement.
• Track and document returnable and non-returnable gate passes .
• Build and maintain positive relationships with local and government authorities , including police and fire departments.
• Prepare agreements, purchase orders, and bills , and ensure timely processing.
• Submit reports promptly in accordance with internal deadlines.
• Train security personnel on emergency procedures and plant security protocols.
• Ensure adherence to security manuals and conduct regular audits of security practices.

• Zero security incidents or thefts.
• 100% compliance with gate control protocols.
• Timely and accurate reporting.
• Effective liaison with external authorities.
• Adequate and well-trained security manpower on-site.

Key Interactions

Internal: Accounts, Engineering, Safety, Materials, Distribution Center, Production, HR, EHS, Quality

External: Security service providers, local police, fire and rescue teams, government officials

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or Arts (B.Com / BBA / BA)

Experience

• 1 – 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or hospitality environment
• Experience in security supervision and managing third-party security staff
• Exposure to process-driven environments

Functional Competencies

• Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to train staff in emergency response and plant safety practices

Behavioral Competencies

• Strong communication skills
• Fluency in Marathi (both reading and writing)
• Proactive in collecting and responding to security-related intelligence
• Willingness to learn and perform under pressureJ
