Position Summary

ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions Pvt Ltd , is looking for a Business Development Manager for our manufacturing plant – SMI, Jamnagar. This person shall be based out of Mumbai/Pune and expected to be at the plant for good number of days in a month . He/She will be responsible to manage strategic relationships with OEM suppliers and develop external OEM business in India .

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Consolidate on current OEM supplier base for SMI Products.

• Develop external OEM base in India & abroad.

• Explore business opportunities for new product lines with OEM & AA Sales team.

• Explore possibilities of & revive business from customers who have had long history of association with SMI factory products.

• B uild strategies to make up for sudden severance /drop in demand from established customers.

• Manage a team of professionals to ensure factory orders are made available and aligned with factory lead times.

• Define clear cut responsibility to identify key segments, customers and collaborate with Factory team to ensure on-time deliveries.

• Ensure order fill rate for sustained & efficient factory output as per budgeted business plan.

  Skills Required:

• Have functional knowledge of factory operations.

• Strong customer orientation & management skills.

• Excellent communication skills ,verbal & written.

• Good grip on soft skills.

• Should be responsive, assured and possess ability to strike a cord with customers.

• Possesses a high level of integrity and ownership of responsibilities

• Result oriented and strive for execution excellence.

• Follows up with customers till an expected result is achieved

• Develops partnerships, keeps stakeholders updated on progress initiatives/ projects and activities on time

• Education Qualification & Experience required:

  • Engineering background with MBA having minimum 10 years of Experience in similar or related field.

  • Experience of developing new markets ,customers

  • Experience of working in diverse settings and establishing a connect across varied cultural background.

  Additional Information:

  Travel extensively across customer geographies as well as factory at Jamnagar.
