• More than 1 year of experience in Account Management / Sales preferably in similar industry
• Experience in an analytical, results-oriented environment with external customer interaction.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, presentation skills and ability to express thoughts logically and succinctly.

Job summary

Amazon is starting a new program which will enhance the umbrella of benefits available under the prime program. We are looking for sales associates who will be responsible for acquiring and managing partners for the program. Success of the incumbent would be measured by his/her ability to identify right partners for the program and manage the relationship with them. This role is critical to Amazon’s strategy in India from a customer experience perspective and is a great opportunity to be part of a new entrepreneurial team solving challenging problems in the e-commerce space.

The ideal candidate will have ability to work in an environment with minimal supervision, deliver results under time constraints, execute repeatable processes and have good English language skills. Operating in a rapidly changing environment will require the candidate to be comfortable dealing with ambiguous, new and challenging situations. The role will require local travel.

Key job responsibilities

Understand products and services offered by Amazon Food and be able to articulate its functions and benefits to external audiences.

Help define the merchant base and industry verticals we target for various Amazon services using local knowledge and available tools.

Identify valuable merchants and selection for Amazon Food.

Support retailers with valuable inputs and help them become successful on Amazon Food.

Track and monitor own performance.

• Experience working with e-commerce, SME retailers, advertising, or media.
• Deep understanding of the retail and wholesale landscape in India with prior interactions with sellers and distributors.
• Experience selling nascent (embryonic/start-up) products/services into new markets.
