We are looking for a Senior Member of Technical Staff to join our athena Intelligence division.You will be partnering with senior business and product leadership to do great things. Ultimately your work will focus on improving corporate performance, product performance and clinical outcomes.
But enough about us, let’s talk about you.athena.intelligence (a.i) unleashes the power of athena’s one-of-a-kind healthcare dataset by applying advanced analytics and machine learning to terabytes of data. a.i is looking for motivated individuals ready to improve the state of healthcare in the US by tackling some of the most complex data challenges in the industry. We are looking for software engineers with experience building cloud-based software and data analytics platforms, as well as data scientists experienced in deploying production-grade models.
As a Data Scientist, you will apply advanced machine learning technology to athena’s one-of-a-kind healthcare data set in order to improve the state of healthcare in the US.

The Team: The Machine Learning Platform team will be responsible for the development, deployment, monitoring, and continuous operation of the athena.intelligence cloud based platform supporting Machine Learning Algorithms. The Machine Learning Platform team will strive for operational excellence and take existing platforms to the next level with CI/CD and automated diagnostics/scaling/healing.
Athena is a highly data driven company, and we (the analytics division) also empower our clients to be data-driven through reports, dashboards and insights.

Job Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities for different machine learning techniques and evaluate which are best
• Stay abreast and evaluate the latest in data science technologies
• Understand and follow conventions and best practices for modeling, coding, architecture, and statistics hold other members of the team accountable for doing so
• Adhere to rigorous testing of statistics, models, and code

Typical Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in relevant field: math, computer science, data science, economics
• 4-6 years of professional experience training and evaluating machine learning models
• Excellent verbal communication and writing skills
• Proficiency with at least one programming language (such as Perl, Python, C/C++, java)
• Proficiency with data analysis languages and tools such as Python/Jupyter, R/RStudio
• Strong interest in improving healthcare
