We are looking for Highways BIM Designer to join our team. This role will be based at our Atkins office in Bangalore, IN. As a Highways BIM Designer, you will be a key part of the design delivery team and will be an experienced BIM user and coordinator with some management experience. Reporting to the Lead Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the project BIM design resources. This role offers excellent opportunities for career development for the right candidate. How will you contribute to the team? To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

• Produce intelligent 3D models and extract information directly from the model to create and detail 2D drawings, schedules, setting out, quantities and other deliverables.
• Produce all types of Highways discipline 3D models, 2D Drawings, schedules, and other deliverables. Perform self-assurance of all Highways discipline drawing and model deliverables.
• Originate and assist in development of Highways design and analysis for all assets of the Highways discipline.
• Work within the Highways Team Common Data Environment (CDE) of the project, and collaborated with project staff to setup, progress, and complete project deliverables, by advancing the same through technical workflow.
• Provide quality control for compliance to company/project standards of deliverables.
• Provide over the shoulder support for staff developing models and 2D drawing extractions.
• Maintain a high level of competency of all BIM software tools used at Atkins.
• Actively contribute to project design development by contributing to internal coordination, clash detection and design review sessions as well as external presentations to clients.
• Provide commercial input by pricing up BIM tasks for bids and projects as required.
• Work with the Task Information Manager and project teams to assist in the development and implementation of BIM models, BIM Execution Plans, workflows, and processes on projects in accordance with Atkins Corporate Standards, Client requirements and industry best practice.

What will you contribute?

• A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree holder (Preferably in Civil Engineering) with minimum 4 to 5 years of industry experience preferably in the Highways domain.
• Experience of preparation and detailing of all types of highway engineering drawings and standard details in accordance with the DMRB and MCHW or other equivalent international standards.
• Must be an advanced user or expert user in Autodesk Civil3D, with recent core Civil3D experience which includes exchanging information between Civil3D, Revit, Infraworks and Navisworks.
• Must have detailed understanding and experience of the Civil3D user interface and all its features to perform Civil3D alignment and profile modelling, Surface manipulation, corridor modelling for complex junctions and interchanges.
• Civil3D Subassembly composer skills to create and manipulate bespoke sub – assembly components and assemblies.
• Must be able to create, manage and manipulate Project Civil3D templates through bespoke Civil3D styles to derive various alignment and corridor information, annotation, and reporting. Hands on experience to derive and extract drawing deliverables, schedules, quantity take off and analysis results.
• Technical proficiency in the use of the latest common CDE systems: Bentley ProjectWise and Autodesk BIM360. Understanding and experience of handling Civil3D Data Shortcuts within the CDE Environment is a must.
• Experience in planning, costing, and monitoring delivery of work packages within budget and programme and a working knowledge of the management of project finances by use of the change control process.
• Highly IT literate, excellent command of standard Microsoft office software, knowledge of IT infrastructure and hardware. Excellent skills in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
