Position Summary
AutoZone is looking for a Network Operations Center Specialist to be part of their growing team! Key responsibilities
In this role AutoZoner would be one of IT’s first responders. AutoZoner will:
Keep a watchful eye over all IT Operations and Infrastructure, resolving issues as they arise and taking preventive steps to ensure that many issues do not occur. You will also schedule, monitor and maintain processes running on Open, distributes, store and Mainframe systems.
Additionally, as a first responder, you will not only execute initial incident triage, but also perform a vital coordination role in major incidents until the issues are resolved.
Monitor all major elements of AutoZone Information systems including:
Wide Area Networks (WAN)
WiFi Networks
Open Systems (Linux and Unix)
Windows systems
Mobile apps
Monitor IT applications and infrastructure running in:
Stores
Distribution Centers
Data Centers
Corporate offices
Identify and categorize the issues based on severity, alert type and other criteria and perform initial recovery steps to resolve the issue.
Utilize information from Monitors, error logs and other sources to assess both IT incidents and monitoring systems in order to:
Proactively prevent the occurrence of incidents.
Identify trends and Root cause.
Build recommendations for improvement and prevention.
Respond to alerts, support calls, and communicate with other IT teams to ensure all incidents are resolved.
Work with other technical teams to resolve the problem and identify the root cause.
Create, maintain and monitor data processing jobs to ensure data is available at its destination on time.
Follow technical steps documented in runbooks to resolve alerts, execute movement of processing to new servers or locations.
Record the results of actions taken to help drive continuous improvement.
Skills and Experience
Required

At least a 4-year degree in Computer Science or Information Systems Management or a related field. Equivalent work experience considered, and additional work experience a plus.
Minimum of 4 years of work experience.

Comfortable working in a high pressure, fast paced environment with shifting priorities.
Ability to multi-task.
Strong Interpersonal, particularly verbal communication skills in English.
Strong desire to learn and develop all necessary technical skills.
An ability to independently act quickly, pragmatically and assertively under pressure to prioritize and resolve technical issues.
Strongly Desired
Ability to code in one or more languages such as Java, React, Python.
Abliity to write and maintain system utilities and configurations using shell scripting.(KShell/POSIX, Perl, Powershell, etc) or automation tools such as Jenkins.
Working knowledge of SQL
Understanding of basic operating systems commands in at least 2 of the following environments Unix/Linux, Windows, ESX.
Knowledge of IT work management tools such as Jira.
Experience building and maintain chatbots.
Ability to read and maintain configuration data in JSON, XML or similar structures.
