Job Title: Senior Sybase Administration
Location: Noida/Chennai, India
Experience: 8 – 15 years
Notice Period: Up to 60 Days (Not Serving)
Job Description:
To independently resolve tickets and ensure that the agreed SLA of ticket volume and time are met for the team. (2.) To provide support for on call escalations orL3 level support and doing incident and problem management (3.) Work on value adding activities such Knowledge base update and management, training freshers, coaching analysts and conducting interviews or participation in hiring drives. (4.) To adhere to quality standards, regulatory requirements and company policies (5.) To ensure positive customer experience and CSAT through First Call Resolution and minimum rejected resolutions or Reopen Cases (6.) To participate or contribute on EN business in creation of proposals to drive Service improvement plans.
Responsibilities:
12+ years of Sybase administration experience in large enterprise database environment.
Proficiency in design, administration, implementation, upgrades and monitoring database.
Experience in Database configuration and installation
Strong experience in Sybase replication server / High availability and DR
Experience with Sybase IQ.
Data refresh, migration, other initiatives related to application deployment.
Experience in handling major incident and vendor management
Experience with data and batch loading processes.
Knowledge of Data Modelling and Database design skills.
Experience with Data warehouses and transactional databases.
Proficiency with performance optimization /tunning.
Tune queries, write Stored Procedures, perform indexing, and other database elements.
Thorough understanding of Sybase backup methodology.
Should have knowledge of Shell scripting.
Good Knowledge of Linux and Solaris OS and Storage technologies
Proficiency in database tuning, to ensure that applications run efficiently and reliably.
Develop and maintain system documentation.
Strong communication skills and should have ability to work independently.
