Job Profile
AVEVA has operations in multiple countries across the world. There are three regions (Americas, APAC and EMEA) each with a Regional Head of Finance. Each country has a Financial Controller who is responsible for the financial accounting in the legal entities.
The Finance Operations team is responsible for financial processes and controls across the Group. The controls team within Finance Operations is responsible for:
the control framework,
the internal governance of the system of internal controls,
assisting risk owners in mitigating risks,
communication and training,
providing advice and assurance,
the controls monitoring process.
The Controls Analyst role sits in Finance Operations team in AVEVA and reports to Finance Senior Manager – Oracle Controls Specialist. This role will be responsible for the ERP controls (design, implementation, ongoing management, and continuous improvement) as well as overseeing the end user access request process to the system. This role provides a great opportunity to shape the future of the Controls Team and set the right tone, processes, and procedures over corporate governance.
Responsibilities
The Controls Analyst will be responsible for:
Developing and maintaining ERP access processes and procedures to support ERP users globally
Developing and maintaining documentation for ERP approval workflow processes
Reviewing ERP technical roles for segregation of duties conflicts and proposing role re-design
Critically assessing and challenging current ERP role assignment to end users in order to mitigate segregation of duties conflict risk.
Managing the periodic recertification of access controls
Developing ERP access policy
Acting as a key liaison between business and IT and ERP Support team
Support in closing external audit management letter points.
Manage the processes supported by the SafePaas tool.
Support internal projects as required
The role is based in Cambridge / India and occasional travel may be required.
Required Skills and Experience
Knowledge of financial and other controls
Knowledge of Oracle Fusion or other ERPs beneficial
Experience of Governance, Risk and Controls systems/tools beneficial
Experience of working with global and virtual teams
Strong organisational skills
Excellent stakeholder management skills
Collaborative approach, with strong cultural empathy
Excellent communication, both written and verbal
Positive attitude and comfortable managing ambiguity
