Process Overview Debt Capital Markets team at GBS in co-ordination with its global counterparts participates in origination, structuring and closing of Fixed Income Instruments including High Yield and High Grade Loans and Bonds Offerings. The bank has established a strong core responsible investment capability and leading industry position through a strong global ESG team tasked with delivering and evolving ESG research, integration and engagement services. Global Sustainable Finance Group (“GSFG”) primarily focuses on tax equity financing in the renewable and low carbon energy sector. * Support Syndication of instruments which would include providing financial/quantitative as well as qualitative analysis for each proposed transaction and assisting in research, underwriting, committing, and closing transactions Responsibilities*

• Preparing financial models on tax equity and debt financings in renewable energy sectors such as Solar, Wind and also other non-renewable low carbon sectors such as Natural Gas with specific focus on Project Finance
• Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc
• Data mining using state-of-the-art methods
• Data summarization and visualization techniques for conveying key applied analytics findings
• Preparing deal related Memos such as Prioritization Memo, Endorsement Committee Memo, Screening Memo, Sponsorship Committee Memo and Credit Approval Memo for live deals at various stages of the debt and tax equity transactions
• Executing detailed and structured research in on potential opportunities and new topics in Sustainable Finance
• Working on market updates documents which include latest happenings, new deals and trends for Sustainable Finance encompassing United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
• Engage closely with teams in deepening institutional ESG fluency and integration
• Research Capital markets, industry and company information and produce market commentary
• Communicate and interact with senior team members

Requirements*

• Education* MS in a relevant field (Statistics, Applied Maths) or MBA in Finance with a relevant work experience in ESG or Project Finance (Renewables)

• Certifications If Any CFA
• Experience Range* 06 – 18 months of total relevant experience preferably in Project Finance with focus on Renewables or Data research towards applying quantitative and statistical skills in ESG sector Foundational skills*

• Strong Financial Modelling skills
• Tableau
• Quantitative skills and the ability to innovate and leverage data to establish narratives
• Data mining skills
• Statistical Modelling
• Familiar with company filings and Capital Structure of the company
• Strong written and oral communication skills; effective with a diverse group of stakeholders Desired skills*
• An understanding of the sustainable investment/ESG landscape
• Hands-on experience on Refinitiv, Bloomberg, Dealogic
• Knowledge of C/C++, VBA, Python, Alteryx
• Valuation (debt/equity) techniques
