• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering
• Experienced and dynamic leader with minimum 15+ years of relevant experience.
• Previous application management/ownership, Production support background.
• Essential Skills (Technical / Business Domain / Managerial/ Soft skills)
• Significant experience with SDLC methodologies, Waterfall, Agile, SCRUM, SAFe
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage delivery of complex, integration projects in a matrix organization.
• Experience drafting and submitting budget proposals and recommending subsequent budget changes where necessary
• Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
• Build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus and achieve objectives
• Sound knowledge of the Wholesale Banking domain: e.g. deposits, payments, receivables, liquidity management, trade finance, commercial loans, credit management, FX.
• Experience working with product and service vendors, and with the onshore-offshore delivery model.
• Ability to influence & work with regional and global partners/stakeholders to drive the program forward.
• Execution and result oriented. Aptitude for critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making.
• Stay abreast of latest technology and industry trends.
• Be the change agent to influence and drive transformation: e.g. DevOps, Agile development.
• Strong communications skill set – written and verbal
• Team-building skills with technical and non-technical staff

What you can expect

• This role requires an experienced and highly skilled professional to play an active role within the Global Banking Technology with main focus area being India Payment Digitization & India regulatory ecosystem.
• Ensure that risk, security, and other compliance deliverables are completed on-time and per requirements for the applications they support
• Assist with audit exams and risk assessments for the applications
• Track and support the technical security and risk activities performed by the development teams / infrastructure teams –e.g. remediation of NPT or security vulnerabilities, technical recovery planning, disaster recovery exercises, patching and upgrade etc.
• Maintain data about the application in AppHQ and other systems of records.
• For vendor applications, work closely with the vendor to ensure the application meets bank requirements
• Assist with ad hoc inquiries and questions about the application
• Raise Risk Accept/Mitigate/ JDI for risks.
• Understand Application roles and ensure ARM access provisioning and access reviews in line with Organization polices and application needs.
• Work with Business Partners, Development managers, leads, Risk functions to provide status reporting on the overall status of the LOB.
• Coordinate with Global team on Application deliverables tracking.

What you will do

• Manage and drive application management team to deliver administrative and non-technical tasks related to compliance deliverables and infrastructure requests for the applications they support. They support vendors, development teams, and Technology Managers to ensure technical security, risk, and other compliance activities are completed on-time and per requirements.
• Partner closely with control functions, risk management, and GIS and are familiar with the applicable policies, standards, LRRs, contacts and procedures so that the compliance deliverables are completed effectively and efficiently.
• The Application Control Specialist is an individual contributor working with multiple teams at the team or program level.
• Leverage domain and technical expertise to set direction and drive project execution. Foresee and proactively address risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Work with business, operations, internal technology, and project delivery.
• Responsible for a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple lines of businesses across Treasury and Trade primarily involving existing as well as emerging India Regulatory clearing schemes.
• Act as the primary liaison between the vendor and internal technology teams.
• Manage stakeholder expectations with respect to scope, deliverables, and timelines.
• Actively participate in the technical architecture and design.
• Report on delivery success criteria results, metrics, test, and deployment management activities.
• Act as an internal quality control check for delivery ensuring that milestones are implemented with a strategic mindset
