AppSec are looking for a motivated, technically minded individual to join our application security team. As a Application security Analyst you will be expected to:

Write code to provide various automation activities and integration with other services within the bank for reporting purposes.

Work with senior members of the team to raise the security posture across the organisation.

Identify application security vulnerabilities through a combination of security assessment techniques

Adopt/Implement security standards and guidelines for applications developed at Barclays

Disseminate specialist application security knowledge to both the security and development communities.

What will you be doing?

Develop and maintain various automation tools.

Maintenance of application security testing tools: SAST, DAST, OSA, perimeter scanning

Driving adoption and increased usage of automated application security testing in CI/CD pipelines

Working with key stakeholders in Business units and developer experience to shift left (DevSecOps)

Maintain and improve secure coding standards at regular intervals

Deliver secure application development training

Implement internal projects to help improve team’s efficiency.

Carry out tasks assigned to you within the SLAs defined within the team.

Escalate issues whenever necessary

What we’re looking for:
Application development experience with Knowledge in working with CD/CI systems such as Jenkins/Teamcity.

Exposure in cloud services, AWS, Azure etc.

Have working knowledge of Security fundamentals and exposure to OWASP, SANS Top 25, etc.

Exposure to Secure Development Lifecycle methodologies, development platforms (Java and .NET etc.) with basic understanding of Web and mobile application related vulnerabilities

Skills that will help you in the role:
Ability to demonstrate knowledge and enthusiasm for low-level technical topics including native development (any platform)

Experience in cloud services development in AWS and Azure.

Experience of languages inherent to modern, mobile development: Java+JNI, Objective C, Swift etc.

Familiarity with concept of mobile code hardening i.e. controls and techniques for the goals of anti-tempering, obfuscation and environment monitoring etc.
