Why does this position exist? With what permanent objectives?

Responsibility of Technical, Quality and cost-effective manufacturing of Cellasto operations in the shifts. It also involves plant and process safety, Health and Environmental activities related to the plant and personnel working in the plant.

Main Areas of Responsibilities and Key Activities

• Coordinate and manage production in shift with consistent quality as per the defined KPIs.
• Implement Safety, Health and Environment system of the plant concerning man and equipment.
• Monitor all plant production and processing equipment’s.
• Continuous improvement of plant in coordination with the pears/subordinates to reduce rejection, increase in yields, increase operational ease and ultimately leading to cost effective production.
• Awareness on the standards and procedures for ISO9001/ ISO140001/ IATF 16949/ISO 50001/5S / RCMS etc.
• Guiding a group of Operators in the plant continuously to ensure product quality of international standard.
• Able to troubleshoot in case of any problem in plant.
• Responsible for ISO 9001/IATF16949 and 5S documentation, Management and adherence.
• RCMS training will be given as as per requirement should be able to learn and apply in his routine job.
• Act as EHS representative during the responsible shift. Ensure that discharge parameters of all the emissions in the plant are within the statutory limits and health and hygiene of the plant personnel is well maintained in the shifts.
• Guide shop floor personnel towards S.H.E. (Safety, Health and Environment), cleanliness of the plant (5S), discipline for improving the BASF’s safe work culture in the shifts. This ensures compliance of BASF’s statutory requirements, which also includes the training of the subordinates regarding the safety aspects and handling of the critical hazardous chemicals.
• Adherence to the PPE usage of the plant personnel and work permit system is properly followed in the shift.
• Compliance to process safety and environmental protection code as per BASF Practice.
• Report and inform all injuries, near misses, unsafe conditions or practices and exposures to any hazardous substances.
• Perform the role as a first aider, rush to the incident spot in case of emergency in the site.
• For emergency in Cellasto plant coordinate with incident controller & follow his instructions.
