Lead – Agronomic Operations East
POSITION PURPOSE: To lead Field Solutions strategy for Agronomic Operation in East India by coaching and motivating field agronomists with an aim to deliver high quality field trials for our CP innovation pipeline and scoping for tailored solutions with Seed and Digital Tools. To lead regulatory data generation with national and state govt institutions & academia engagement in West India. Lead technical knowledge transfer activities to Market Development for launch excellence of targeted innovations in East India.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead & drive innovation by technical profiling of CP innovations (Phase 0-4) and scoping of tailored solutions with Seed and Digital tools through high quality field trials, by development of required competencies and capabilities of the field agronomists.
• Lead the design, planning & execution of field trials & efficient use of data entry tools (SCOUT) to deliver project objectives. Drive implementation of various digital transformational initiatives and Drone Application Technology projects as per IBSL and APAC directions.
• Identify potential business opportunities in East and Central India leading to Proof of Concept and possible upscaling to formal business case in close coordination with Crop Community, Crop Leads and FS & MD ASM Network of IBSL.
• Lead regulatory data generation at various state agricultural universities and ICAR institutions in East & Central India as per the Regulatory Trial plan for IBSL.
• Collaborate & engage with multiple ICAR institutes, State Agricultural Universities (and Agri colleges) and private agricultural colleges/ universities the designated geography to steer external outreach opportunities.
• Responsible for collaborating and ensuring smooth transition of innovations to Market Development by providing efficient knowledge transfer and upskilling support to the team in East & Central India. Foster collaboration with CU Leadership Team of East and Central India to synergize and extract the best from identified business opportunities.
• Inspirational leadership to the team of Field Agronomists striving for their development by identifying & nurturing talent and fostering I&D. Jointly with team, work for development plan of all employees and put together a robust succession plan. Plan and implement all operational activities and travel expenses efficiently in allotted OPEX budget.
• Live and role model the values & principles of LIFE 2.0 & with a Play to win approach
• Drive SHE, Sustainability & Stewardship principles in all agronomic operations for the team.

WHO YOU ARE:

• Post-graduate or a Doctorate in Agriculture Sciences. Industry experience in relevant profiles for 5-7 years. People Le
  Technical skills – agronomic and physiology knowledge of key crops in the cluster, use pattern and technical knowledge of crop protection solutions, resistance management and IPM principles, statistical knowledge of experimental designs, expert in drafting and summarization of technical findings for the project.
• Sound knowledge of key trends related to current and emerging needs of farmers, business terminologies and technical developments in agriculture and Crop Protection industry in the cluster.
• Updated with latest development of Drones usage for crop protection spray application and tech savvy to drive development of digital solutions.
• Interpersonal skills- Strong communication and presentation skills, data analysis, cross-functional team coordination, planning and resource management, Competencies for leading by influencing and stakeholder management.
