Manager – Field Trial Operation
POSITION PURPOSE: To conduct field trials of early-stage CP innovation, test and drive digital projects/pilots and stewardship projects for IBSL cluster so that it clarifies technical positioning against target pests and fit in target crop segments. To work towards innovation infrastructure and development activities for early-stage innovation & sustainable initiatives to accelerate transformation.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for early-stage CP innovation characterization for efficacy, phytotoxicity and related parameters through assigned field trials with customized experimental approaches at Field Solution Innovation Hub. Expand work domain in the peripheral locations as required for crops/ pests based on project needs.
• Responsible for execution of various country, regional and global digital and UAS-AT (Drone for spraying CP Solutions) projects for fostering innovation.
• Contribute to site infrastructure capex/ opex plan and implement budget activities as per the approved plan.
• Responsible to update SCOUT program for relevant projects and real time data management for assigned trials.
• Responsible for developing agronomy and pest infestation patterns for feasible crops at Field Solution Innovation Hub.
• Drive ongoing and planned collaboration projects with R&D functions at the site with an embedded focus on sustainability of operations.
• Host external collaborations as planned with state agricultural universities or ICAR for visiting faculties and/ or assigned interns towards project work.

WHO YOU ARE:

• Post-graduate or a Doctorate in Agriculture Sciences. Industry experience in relevant profiles for 1-2 years.
• Technical skills – Agronomic and physiology knowledge of key crops and life cycle of associated pests in the cluster; Use pattern and technical knowledge of crop protection solutions; Microplot testing skills, statistical knowledge of experimental designs, data analysis and interpretation skills.
• Updated with latest development of Drones usage for crop protection spray application and tech- savvy to drive development of digital solutions.
• Interpersonal skills- Strong communication and presentation skills, networking, and cross-functional team coordination.
