Roles & Responsibilities
Enhancing the scalability and performance of existing database architecture.
Developing database structures and features according to organizational needs. Hiring, supervising, and mentoring database development teams.
Protecting data by developing data security and restoration policies, procedures, and controls.
Conducting diagnostic tests and evaluating performance metrics.
Developing procedures to ensure data integrity and quality.
Preparing and presenting system performance reports to senior managers.
Performing database maintenance, migration, and upgrading hardware and software.
Keeping up to date with developments and trends in database management.
Analyse on premise transactional & Non-transactional database environments such as SQL Server, MySQL and/or MongoDB, evaluate and plan migrations to Azure managed system
Consult for optimal design of database environments, analysing complex distributed production deployments, and making recommendations to optimise performance.
Developing data driven culture in team
Work with Program/Project managers in deciding timelines for projects and make sure they are delivered in a timely manner.
Looking for someone with the below experience
4+ years hands-on experience on MySQL, MongoDB, Data warehousing
Databases of 1-10TB in size across multiple database platforms (e.g. PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB etc.)
Heterogeneous database migrations from one database engine to another
Performance optimization techniques
Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or equivalent
Manage production scenarios.
Database Administration – backup/restore, replication, etc.
ETL workflow management.
