Experience

15+ years of relevant experience in ES&H domain, preferably in an EPC organization. Should have experience of leading the ES&H initiatives.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree from accredited college/institution. Engineering degree in any discipline or degree in Environment Studies is Preferred.
• Good knowledge of ISO standards specially ISO 9001, 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Good knowledge of industry codes and standards.
• Conversant with Client expectations and requirements
• Shall be fully conversant with the internal and external audit procedure and should have the experience of conducting such audits
• Good Knowledge of local statutory requirements.
• Awareness about safety and health related mandatory requirements
• Experience of dealing with the government / regulatory bodies
• Shall be conversant with the sustainability initiatives implemented across industry.
• Knowledge of work planning and scheduling
• Ability to coordinate work with other disciplines and other stake holders including other offices.
• Broad working knowledge of the principles and practices followed in an EPC industry.
• Good oral as well as written communication skills are essential
• Good Presentation skills are required

Reporting And Working Relationships

• Reports to the ES&H Manager of India Office
• Works in close coordination with other functions like office services, office Administration, Legal and overseas offices.
• Provides oversight to all the ES&H activities and provide guidance and support / supervision to the direct reports

Essential Duties (Scope)

• Development, review and finalization of ES&H related documents like Management Plan, Audit Plans, ES&H Objectives, Aspect Impact Register, Risk Register, Incident Matrix, formats for regular monitoring.
• Aligning the objectives to the company goals , statutory requirements and as per industry norms
• Conducting internal audit for various functions. Suggesting improvements and monitoring implementation of the same.
• Lead ES&H external Audit conducted by certifying agencies.
• Resolve observations by external Auditor and suggest / implement improvement initiatives .
• Plan and conduct independent work within the India Execution Unit, using sound judgment and adaptation of latest techniques, procedures and criteria.
• Participate in workshops with other offices and provide value added ideas
• Coordinate with other functions on projects to monitor the implementation of ESH initiatives.
• Review and develop standard documentation for implementation on various projects
• Training of resources and raising awareness regarding ESH policies/ procedures and standards
• Travel to support activities at various construction sites, supplier’s works or in other engineering offices for ESH related activities
• Candidate to mention valid visa available including detail of Type, expiry date. Denial of USA visa earlier at any stage need to be indicated.
