rank of JCO on fixed tenure basis in E-I grade for a period of 3 years for its Strategic

Communication and Unmanned Systems SBU of Bengaluru Unit to be posted at Bangalore,

Gawahati, Wadsar, Jodhpur, New Delhi, Chandigarh, Siliguri, Leh, Jorhat and other North

Eastern Regions.

POST – Sr. Assistant Engineer in E-I Grade on Fixed tenure basis for a period of 3 years.

QUALIFICATION – Three years Diploma in Electronics / Electronics & Communication /

Telecommunication / Electronics & Telecommunication / Communication discipline. First

class for GEN & OBC category and pass class for SC/ST candidates.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
 Service support of Satcom System, Base Band System, OFC Media & Surveillance

systems.

 Liaise with vendors, Customers and SBU departments for all service support activities.

Maintenance of records for fault management reported at site.

 Logistic support for movement of faulty/ repaired & procured equipments vendor and

sites.

 Maintenance support for the execution of CAMC at posted site and based on

requirement onsite Maintenance support at Customer sites across India

 Service support of Satcom System, Base Band System, OFC Media systems.

 Required to work at Customer Sites during CAMC period for the maintenance support.

 On site visit across India is required as per the requirement for the execution of the

project.

 Facilitate visits to the respective cluster units and logistical support for fault resolution

by BEL / OEM reps.

 Required to work at Customer sites during Warranty/CAMC period for the maintenance

support in North East and Leh Region

 Maintenance of spares at Customer Sites and periodic updation of spares status to

Central Customer Support Desk.

 Carrying out periodic preventive maintenance of the systems at sites.

EXPERIENCE: 15 years & above post qualification (Professional) experience as on

01.09.2021.

Electronics: Preferably 15 years in TTC trade & JE systems of corps of Signal & Electronics

in EME regiment of Army, Radio Fitter in Air-force and CHEAR/MCEAR in Navy.

AGE (as on 01.09.2021): The candidate should be not more than 50 years for GEN. The upper

age limit will be relaxable for SC & ST candidates by 5 years and for OBC candidates by 3

years.

PAY SCALE: – Rs 30,000 – 3% – 1,20,000/- plus other admissible allowances. TA for out

station duty will be paid as per Company rules.

SELECTION PROCEDURE: Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria w.r.t. qualification

and experience will have to go through a written test and Interview

this advertisement and send the applications through post, super scribing on the envelope the

post applied for along with the following documents. The application should reach

The dates of the Written Test/Interview, Timings and Venue will be intimated to the shortlisted

candidates through e-mail only. List of candidates shortlisted for Written Test/Interview will

also be uploaded on the BEL website. BEL will not be responsible for bouncing of any e-mails

due to invalid e-mail IDs provided by the candidates in the application form.

Documents to be attached along with the application form:
i) Self attested copies of SSLC/Matriculation Certificate/Marks Card (as proof of date of

birth).

ii) Self attested copies of Marks cards of all Semesters / Years of Diploma/Engineering

/or equivalent examination with Date and Class of passing on the certificate.

iii) Caste/Community/Disability Certificate in case of candidates belonging to

SC/ST/OBC/PWD respectively. Candidates claiming reservation under any of the

above categories are required to submit the certificate in the prescribed format only.

The formats of various certificates are provided as link to the advertisement. Candidates

belonging to OBC category should possess the certificate issued on or after 01.07.2020.

iv) Post qualification experience certificate/s from previous/current employer. The

joining/appointment letter and relieving letter (wherever applicable) needs to be

attached to determine the number of years of post qualification experience. Where

current employment certificate is not produced the first and latest pay slip and

employee ID proof should be compulsorily attached.

v) Discharge Summary from Defence forces.

vi) Candidates employed in Government / Quasi Government and Public Sector

undertaking will be required to have their application forwarded through proper channel

or produce No Objection Certificate at the time of Interview. Candidates who are

shortlisted for interview but are unable to produce no objection certificate will not be

interviewed under any circumstances.

GENERAL

i) Short listing of candidates will be carried out purely based on the information declared

by candidates in the application form. If at any further stage of selection, it is

found that candidates have declared false information w.r.t. their credentials, BEL

reserves the right to debar them at any stage of selection.

ii) Candidates are required to possess at least one valid e-mail id.BEL will not be

responsible for bouncing of e-mails, non-receipt of e-mails due to invalid e-mail IDs,

setting options exercised by the candidate, etc.

Information pertaining to the Written Test /Interview will be sent by e-mail only to the

iii) ID that is furnished. There will be no separate communication to any candidates on

their non-selection at any stage.

iv) The term would initially be for a period of 3 years and is extendable based on the

requirement of the Company.

v) In addition to basic pay, other allowances like Dearness Allowance, House Rent

Allowance, 35% of the annual basic pay as perquisites, Performance Related Pay

(PRP), Group Life Insurance, Medical reimbursement, Provident Fund, Gratuity and

pension as per Company’s rules will be part of the remuneration package.

vi) The number of posts indicated above, may vary based on the actual requirement at the

time of selection.

vii) Reservation/relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD Candidates will be as per Government

directives.

viii) Merely fulfilling the minimum requirement of qualification and experience will not vest

any right on the candidates to be called for the interview/written test. BEL reserves the

right to shortlist the candidates based on the relevance of experience after acquiring the

prescribed qualification

ix) Canvassing in any form will result in disqualification. BEL reserves the right to debar /

disqualify any candidates at any stage of the selection process for any reason what so

ever.

x) Request for change of category once declared in the application will not be entertained.

• The application fee should be remitted through SBI Collect (through online mode or

through SBI Branch).

• Candidates are requested to read the details and screenshots for making the

payment.

• Candidates can also make the payment by approaching SBI branch. Candidates

have to select SBI branch in the payment option and download pre-printed challan

generated through SBI Collect and deposit the application fee (as applicable) plus

applicable bank charges in any SBI Branch. The candidate should ensure to obtain

the seal and signature of the bank official.

• General/OBC candidates have to enter the “SBI collect reference no.” generated

after payment in the application form. Payment receipt should be attached along

with the online application compulsorily .

• Candidates may go through all instructions and eligibility criteria carefully before

refunded.
