Position: FAE – India Automotive Segment, BlackBerry Technology Solutions

The Field Application Engineer – India is responsible for working closely with the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) and APAC management team that is responsible for a particular set of Automotive or GEM (General embedded market) customers.  Responsibilities include providing technical support & training to customers, partners and other ecosystem participants with any issues related to BTS / QNX products and ensuring timely resolution of all outstanding issues. FAE will also need to support the internal R&D, Engineering Services and Product Management teams to ensure top level customer service and execution of revenue growth plans

Responsibilities:

• Support regional sales team with all technical aspects of BTS Products & Engineering Services in order to help drive & meet desired business and financial objectives. Understands customer needs, degree of interest, and/or satisfaction with company products and services.  Monitors competitor sales efforts and strategies ensuring market intelligence is passed to HQ product management & marketing functions.
• Act as technical liaison to HQ teams to ensure on-time delivery of products and services, resolution of technical issues and feedback of key intelligence / product requirements that can help shape future product roadmap direction

QUALIFICATIONS:

• University degree in engineering or equivalent
• Good knowledge of at least one kind of RTOS (Realtime operating system) or Linux etc.
• Well versed in written and spoken English
• Technical experience with embedded software &, hardware & system level solutions for Automotive, Medical, Industrial, Transportation, Robotics, Drones, IoT, Aerospace and other mission critical applications
• 6+ years of direct hands-on work experience with the Automotive & General Embedded Industry in a technical or support role
• Self-starter with strong interpersonal, communication & time management skills
• Required travel is 50%+ within region
