The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for the planning, configuration, testing, and maintenance of Blackhawk Network’s business critical IT infrastructure.
Configure and maintain Active Directory and Group Policy Objects, both On-Prem and Azure
Configure and maintain Microsoft Exchange Online email system
Configure and maintain Windows Server environment
Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities
Configure and maintain supporting services, such as LDAP, SCCM, Certificates, DHCP, DNS, SSO
Install, configure, automate, and monitor various Azure cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, AAD, Automation, Monitor, etc.)
Configure and maintain the hardware platform
Implement scripts to improve automation of routine tasks
Ensure the Windows based IT systems are monitored appropriately
Provide technical assistance for the day to day running of the business
Create runbooks, provide guidance to other areas of the business
Work on projects designed to implement solutions to simplify the IT infrastructure
Work with other internal teams to ensure critical infrastructure projects progress as per plan
Assist other business partners and application owners to ensure their application is highly available
Install, configure various technologies and platforms
Learn new technologies and stay up to date on solutions for IT infrastructure
Communicate (written/verbal) with management, key users, and external vendors
Build and maintain key relationships with other IT teams, internal departments such as Infosec, Compliance, and other external partners
Troubleshoot issues to find root cause, and participate in corrective action/preventive action measures to remediate issues
Perform other duties as assigned
Provide on-call support as required
1+ years’ experience with designing, developing, and managing email platforms such as Microsoft Exchange and O365 Exchange Online
1+ years’ experience with Powershell scripting, automation and Single Sign On (SSO) solutions
Experience of administering Windows workloads in public cloud highly desirable
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or active similar level certification
