Position Purpose
We are looking for an experienced and talented Application database administrator (DBA) who will keep the database up and running smoothly 24/7. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and sustainment of the SQL Server Warehouse, ensuring its operational readiness (security, health and performance), executing data loads, and performing data modeling in support of multiple development teams.

Essential Functions
Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance to ensure high level of performance of critical Microsoft SQL Server RDBMS systems and ensure the high availability of our products.Experience of Performance and Tuning of both Server and Stored Procedures would be beneficial;
Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, provide problem resolution end-to-end.
Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes .Assist developers with tuning of complex query and schema refinement.Create new database clusters and should be responsible for high availability /disaster recovery solutions using Always ON, Log shipping etc. required for business continuity and data growth.Responsible for promoting application related objects/code (releases) through different environments including production.Administer security – user accounts & database roles, schema, data encryption, etc.Support application developers and BI/DevOps teams with database architecture, query optimization, data loads etc.Responsible to execute and automate recurring DBA tasks.
Required Skills and Knowledge
Strong experience on SQL Server 2016 Administration.Experience on JSON data modeling.Understanding of server-client computing and relational database (OLTP) environment.Must have technical documentation skills.Knowledge of Microsoft SQL. Knowledge of programming paradigms and logic.Solid acquaintance with windows server, security delegation, SPNs, storage components.Should be able to meet SLAs as per the priorities.Should be able to assist technical development teams in advising them to implement best database usage practices.Should maintain documentation as per the Industry Standards.Strong communications skills and ability to document and present complex designs to a wider audience.Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.Knowledge of other databases like oracle, MongoDB will be a plus.
Education + Experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution.5-8 Years relevant experience.
