Overview
Leads the maintenance of all contracts for the company following the completion of the procurement process. Responsible for efforts to ensure that highly complex processes related to effective contract management are defined, implemented and tracked throughout the contract lifecycle. Directs the work of more junior support staff and advises them on process improvements, as needed. Leads the Support team’s accurate administration of contracts. Ensures contracts are accurately inputted and maintained within the contract database. Communicates and enforces database maintenance best practices among more junior support staff. As required, documents, reports and ensures the availability of contract key terms. Communicates contract renewal notifications to senior contract owners in a clear and timely manner. Leads the development of the contract framework by maintaining a large quantity of highly complex contract precedent templates in the appropriate intranet site so that they are available to sourcing managers for use in vendor negotiations. Assigns contract template maintenance tasks to more junior support staff. Ensures sourcing managers are aware of their availability through effective communication. Ensures contract templates anticipate all major as well as non-standard areas of spend and have provisions for global agreements, policy summaries and/or regional schedules, as needed. Works directly with Legal and Risk contacts to identify and proliferate the appropriate versions of key organizational policies and ensures they are maintained by more junior support staff within contract templates as stipulated by Legal and Risk. Initiates regular reviews of these templates in conjunction with Legal and is responsible for ensuring more junior staff update all templates with new regulatory, legal and industry practices. Develops recommendations for management reporting criteria. Maintains all of the most up-to-date reports covering all aspects of contract database quality and completeness and contract performance and commitment achievement metrics. Produces advanced and often nuanced recommendations for remediation and/or action as required and includes in reports for senior management. Prioritizes reporting on purchase obligations. Uses working relationships with Global Procurement colleagues and colleagues from key support functions, including Legal, SPMO, Technology and Operations.No direct reports,, assists more junior team members and may serve as the team lead. Scope is limited to the quality and accurate completion of own work as well as effective collaboration across key support functions. Contributes to the achievement of team goals. Modified based upon local regulations/requirements.High school/secondary school or the equivalent combination of education and experience required,, bachelor’s degree preferred.5+ years of total work experience preferred..
