We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to be based in New Delhi, India. This position is under general direction of the Global Support Center supporting the Global Strategic Initiatives goals for the country and region. The engineer is able to develop, understand and interpret fleet operation data and provide mentorship on airlines system engineering to Boeing internal and external customers, stakeholders and regulatory entities that ultimately contribute to achieving safety, capacity and efficiency in the aviation industry. Work tasks will focus on improving Boeing support and presence in the region via workshops, seminars and symposiums, delivering technical consultation to a variety of stake holders and leaders inside and outside the region. The engineer is able to initiate, conduct or facilitate the communication in multiple languages while supporting Boeing Products, Services and Initiatives by also building positive relationships with executives and program leaders in country.
Position Responsibilities:
Instructor for workshops provided to our customers (based on expertise, could be Systems Engineering, specific airplane ATAs such as Flight Control/Thrust Reversers/Landing Gears…, Maintenance Wiring, Drawing, Reliability, etc. Develop training material in area of expertise.
Resolve or facilitate operational issues, evaluating customer data to improve efficiency or reliability, and supporting Entry into Service programs as the need arises.
Support special projects using project management skills in a wide range of subjects. Includes the ability to coordinate with various stakeholders and with internal teams in the United States.
Build and maintain close relationships with airlines; communicate related activities to leadership of local Boeing team, and Boeing internal management.
Build and maintain close relationships with internal Boeing teams in India and the United States.
Able to hold conversations with Airline management and high-level Civil Aviation Authority/CAA personnel and address questions and concerns in a confident manner.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Wide range of knowledge in aviation, aviation industry, and Boeing products/services
Good knowledge of the India aviation industry as a whole, as well as airline operations
Good knowledge FAA and local CAA rules and other industry information (ICAO documents)
Good industry knowledge and technical aircraft knowledge. Mechanical system or avionic systems is desirable.
Good command of English (read, write, listen/speak, professional level proficiency)
Travel 25 – 50% of the time

o The results of these activities can have significant impact on special projects with the customers, Global Strategic Initiative team or the CAA.
• Liaison:
o Represents the organization, as the prime technical contact, and provides solutions on difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.
o Interacts with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations, and develop a wide range of external and internal relationships.
Typical Education / Experience:
Engineering Degree and typical experience in aviation industry: Bachelor’s and 11 or more years’ experience preferred, Master’s with 10 or more years’ experience or PhD with 6 or more years’ experience preferred. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study.
ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
