Responsible Areas:
Monitor and maintain delivery schedules / due dates in MRP system based on Customer Demand as well as forecasting techniques where applicable.
Collaborates with Materials department, confirming availability of inventory prior to firming / releasing work orders using system queries and reports.
Monitors and reviews vendor performance and relationships, making recommendations to leadership relative to vendor development, resourcing, etc.
Collaborate with Materials Management team to monitor / measure material cost savings plans and targets; and optimize supply chain and logistics solutions to maximize On Time Delivery to Customer request, while minimizing inventory investment.
Uses past and market data to negotiate best price for purchases of all goods and services.
Establishes, reviews, and negotiates long-term buying contracts to build relationships with vendors and to ensure best service and value.
Creates and updates resources and SOP’s to aid in onboarding of Purchasing Coordinators and Associate Buyers.
Collaborates with engineers to manage First Article purchases.
Prepares reports and vendor scorecards for select vendors.
Manages vendor performance improvement plans.
Makes recommendation to begin secondary sourcing and develops new vendors.
Performs other duties and/or specific projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree is required.
One year of scheduling & planning experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. 2 – 3 years’ experience in Procurement preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Previous demonstrated experience in production/materials planning/MRP Experience Highly organized with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
Solves complex problems and exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), with ability to drive tasks to completion
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and database management tools.
Part Time work- 2 Hours.
