BorgWarner Technical Center India Private Limited, a subsidiary of BorgWarner Inc. is looking for leader who can lead Feature Owner team within Systems Engineering Organization. The Group Manager is responsible for developing team and will be reporting to Enginerering Group Manager – System Architecture and Feature Owner. This includes hiring, onboarding relevant talent, engaging with counterparts on projects, deliverables and ensuring quality of deliverables.
Responsibilities:• Builds, develops, and leads the Feature Owner team at IPEC, including full responsibility for work products according to the compliancy standards expected for Systems development.• Engages with Global teams on engagement of team and ensuring best possible global footprint for the team.• Collaborates with project management team, product architects and development teams for product release planning and execution.• Provides technical direction, conduct regular technical project reviews and take appropriate corrective actions.• Identifies engineering quality and efficiency improvement opportunities, promote Continuous Improvement through problem solving techniques like Six Sigma/5Whys/Fishbone• Drives excellence in deliverables and product innovation.• Collaborates with other teams like System Architecture, controls, safety etc.• Stimulates teamwork attitude, support career growth and professional development of all team members• Manages employee performance, compensation & engagement, provide candid and constructive feedback and develop direct reports• Leads organizational level initiatives with respect to People, Process, Technology & Innovation at BW TCI.
Basic Qualifications• Master’s/Bachelors Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics Engineering.• Strong understanding of Automotive Powertrain systems and their features/functions.• 12+ years of experience in any of the automotive design and development areas.• Ability to engage with Global teams in order to identify correct work packages for team• Excellent project management skills in automotive product development domains• Ability to embrace and drive change with respect to technology and process and inculcate innovation culture within Systems Engineering organization• Demonstrated excellent inter-personal, communication skills and demonstrates IntegrityPreferred Experience• Working experience with eDrive systems like Transmission, Motor/Power Electronics, Driveline, Energy Management or Battery Management Systems.• Exposure to agile methodology, ASPICE, ISO 26262 processes.• Demonstrated people leadership and building teams.
