Educational Qualification: B.E., with Mechanical/Electrical

Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in Food processing Industries/any Engineering Industry

Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with experience in the food and beverage industry to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical equipment to ensure the smooth operation of our production facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform regular preventive maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production.
• Implement and maintain a preventive maintenance schedule.

• Quickly respond to equipment breakdowns and troubleshoot mechanical problems.
• Use diagnostic tools and techniques to identify the root cause of mechanical failures.

• Conduct repairs and replacements of defective components.
• Recommend and implement equipment upgrades to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Fabricate and install new mechanical components as needed.

• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Participate in safety training and contribute to a safe working environment.

• Work closely with production, quality control, and other departments to coordinate maintenance activities.
• Assist in training production staff on proper equipment operation and maintenance.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
• 7.Scheduled Maintenance: Regularly planned checks and servicing to prevent unexpected breakdowns. This might include cleaning equipment, replacing parts, and updating software or hardware.
• 8.Preventive Maintenance: Actions taken to prevent issues before they occur. This can involve routine inspections and minor adjustments to keep systems running smoothly.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of [X] years of mechanical maintenance experience in the food and beverage industry.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation systems.
• Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Annual Budgeting (Operations)- Review current year expenses on power and fuel consumption data, maintenance and repair cost and prepare budget for next year

Scrap/ Waste Management -Assess machine condition and availability of spares; take decision on selling; coordinate for disposal
