Job Title: Business Applications (Integration and Testing) Manager

Purpose of job:
To provide technical skills for solution service lifecycle in areas of technical analysis, development, testing, integration, packaging, IT operations and third line support delivering to allocated change requests or as part of support. Technology areas covered will be :

Microsoft Windows Server and Windows operating systems

Desktop Operating Systems ( Win7/Win10)

Microsoft Office

Active Directory

Microsoft Systems Centre Configuration Management Server (SCCM)

Integration of COTS (Commercial off the Shelf) applications in standard desktop environment

Packaging Applications (e.g. using App-V, Wise Studio, Installsheild, ORCA, etc)

Industry standard procedures on software testing.

Documenting the packaged/tested applications.

Defining technical roadmaps based on upcoming technologies.

Providing continual improvement to existing support design.

Keeping team focused on quality delivery.

Enabling the customer/business to susceed by tetting up support standards.

With a knowledge of :
Virtualisation, Application – Virtualization, Containerization of Applications, Application working in isolation and LANs, IT security- firewalls/ encryption, world wide web, browsers, network architectures and technologies,

Main opportunities/challenges for this role

Accountabilities, responsibilities and main duties:
Business Analysis – Level 4 Work with colleagues and clients/users to investigate operational issues, problems and new opportunities, seeking effective business solutions through improvements in automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes/procedures, organisation and equipment. Assist in the analysis of the underlying issues arising from investigations into requirements and problems, and identifies available options for consideration. (TSBUAN402)

Record work with appropriate documentation, meeting the required standards and uses suitable methods and tools. (TSBUAN404)

Assist users in producing clearly defined acceptance tests for automated systems. (TSBUAN406)

System Design – Level 4 Recommends/designs structures and tools for systems which meet business needs. Understand the core business need and reccomand the best third party application to be accepted for the organization to use.

Application Support – Level 4 Maintains application support processes, and checks that all requests for support are dealt with according to agreed procedures. Uses application management software and tools to investigate issues, collect performance statistics and create reports.

Problem management – Level 4 Monitors actions to investigate and resolve incidents and problems in systems and services. Assists with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures.

Systems Integration – Level 4 Define standards approach and design, to install and connfigure third party developed applications. Assess the business needs and define the best mechanism to get application released for production environment. Make all the necessary support matrix aligned to support the application approved for use in environment.

Technical Specialism

Maintains an awareness of current developments in the technical specialism. Identify the new development suitable for the organization business and needs. Prepare the roadmap and design changes, propose change from existing model to new model. Engage different crossfunctional teams to acknowledge and agree to support the changes. (TSTECH502)

Information Security

Ensure that their workforce are aware of the information security policies and comply with them

Ensures that the team complies to ISO 27001 and IGA related requirements

Send account opening requests effectively

Disable accounts immediately for leavers and Absconders /on long leaves

Document and monitor / review access levels of his/her team

Provide security awareness and education to team

Manage Records to ensure compliance to Freedom of information act

Ensure incidents of their respective functions are closed within SLAs

Qualifications:
Graduate with eight to 10 years of experience in IT with two to three years as an Analyst specialising in Application Packaging with proven experience.

ITIL Foundation

Role specific knowledge and experience:
Proven experience of Application Integration and Testing (Packaging/Repackaging) in a multilingual global environment, covering below Technology Specialisms:

Microsoft Windows Server and Windows operating systems

Desktop Operating Systems ( Win7/Win10)
