Job Title: Manager – Business Assurance SSC
Purpose of job:
The main priorities of the post are:
To support BCMS Service Line in achieving/aligning to BC Quality strategy and objectives for Business Assurance through assurance and control activities.
To drive Risk, Compliance and Audit Management initiatives across delivery and support processes, including local law and British Council policy requirements.
Lead and manage review meetings on Risk, Compliance and Audits
Maintain a balance between the 1st line and 2nd line responsibilities and accountabilities as agreed with the management.
Plan and deliver risk-based in-house audits (quality and process) promptly and ensure a high level of compliance is met in the audit process.
Plan and coordinate in-house audit finding closure meetings with the auditees. Ensure all findings have recommended action(s) which are agreed upon and implemented within the stipulated timeline.
Liaise with the global Risk team on regular basis and implement global guidance at the SSC.
Liaise with global Internal Audit team and support them in IA initiates as per the requirement also ensure implementation of global guidance at all levels within the SSC
Manage the Compliance management tool and also liaise with the central ICE team and work closely on control and compliance-related activities.
Identify, update, prepare and present governance dashboards and provide assurance to management review forums.
Context and environment:
Reporting to Head Business Assurance, the Manager of Business Assurance will be responsible for coordinating and implementing the Risk, Compliance and Audit related initiatives across the organisation as well as the person will be required to work on and lead the Continual initiatives to meet the SSC requirements.

Accountabilities, responsibilities and main duties:
(including people management and finance)
Maintain internal and external compliances in accordance with local and global regulations and British Council policies for SSC using Complinity tools.
Manage Divisional, tactical and operational risks in alignment with the defined risk management document and in coordination with local and global teams.
Support Audit (inhouse and internal and external) for SSC with internal and external teams.
Work with multiple stakeholders across functions/ SBUs within and outside BC Management Services Pvt Ltd.
Prepare dashboard and reports to present BA’s performance on defined frequencies.

Risk and Compliance management – 60%
Supporting in planning, designing and implementing an overall risk management process and procedures for SSC.
Managing the existing risk management process in line with the Global guidelines;
Closely working with Risk SPoCs of different departments at SSC.
Conduct risk assessments for all delivery and support functions at SSC.
Providing support, education and training to staff to build risk awareness within the organisation.
Providing consulting support being the subject matter expert (SME) for risk management.
Conduct Compliance audits regularly on the list of defined Statutory/ Regulatory compliances and Internal Compliances/ Controls.
Prepare compliance audit reports and share the same with Manager Business Assurance.
Updating and Managing risks through inhouse risk management tool
Audit Management (In-house audits and support to IA and any external audits) – 30%
Manage internal audit for SSC (end-to-end)
Create, maintain, coordinate and conduct in-house process audits/ management audits, financial audits from a compliance and fraud perspective as planned.
Prepare and share audit reports with the Manager of Business Assurance as per the annual audit plan.
Ensuring all observations raised in audits are provided with adequate corrective actions with defined timelines and are closed within those timelines.
Attending meetings with auditees to develop an understanding of business processes
Providing ad hoc advice and guidance on Internal controls, as subject matter expertise
Performing risk assessments on key business activities and using this information to guide what should be covered in audits
Anticipating emerging issues through research and interviews/interactions and deciding how best to deal with them
Supporting and facilitation of external audits for the organisation.
Develop/ support /provide consultancy and implement appropriate process management controls in delivery functions.
Governance-10%
Manage compliances on the Complinity tool.
Preparing dashboard and reporting including Quality Assurance Framework
Resolving queries related to compliance tool in case of any query from user
Sending timely compliance dashboard to respective stakeholders
Governance of compliances both internal and external using tools
