Job Title: Team Lead Concur
Purpose of job:
To support management of overall Travel and Expense Process and handling Concur rollout in all Regions. The resource will also be required to monitor the T&E compliance, manage stakeholders, day to day supervision of Concur team.
Role context:
British Council operates across the globe in 8 regions including the UK. Team Lead Concur will primarily be the key contact person between the region and the finance hub and will be
responsible to ensuring that all queries and service level requirements related to Concur process is met.
Main opportunities/challenges for this role
Accountabilities, responsibilities and main duties:
Maintaining the key service level requirements & KPI targets between SSC and Regions
Key contact between the region, Concur technical team, Banks and Finance hub
Provide oversight and direction to Shared Service Center Concur Team supporting the
accounting, T&E operations and projects.
Final reviewer of Concur Transaction and responsible for the monthly Concur close process.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities to improve and standardize process
Proactively track operational issues and coordinate with other functional owners to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
Manage & streamline TEX/DPC/ Lodge card process rolled out for staff on Concur besides governing the TEX/DPC card expenditure of HSBC on SAP. The incumbent will be responsible for analysing of reports.
Completion of reconciliation between Concur, RBS, Sanatander and SAP systems.
Trouble shooting coding related issues with help of GSD for TEX/DPC / Lodge card transactions in timely manner
Help coding and approval of TEX/DPC card transactions in timely manner
Ensure proper follow ups on unassigned & unapproved transactions on Regional/Country level
Developing standard reporting for compliance, reconciliation and proper governance of the process.
Exception reporting to key Stake holders with regard to non-compliances of the agreed processes.
Resolving user queries with regard to TEX/DPC card transactions with the issuing bankers.
Establish highly collaborative relationships with key stakeholders including tax, treasury, IT, statutory reporting team, and SSC and other operational teams.
Ensuring support and compliance for all kinds of audit.
Initiating on process improvements there by improving the overall efficiency.
Role specific knowledge and experience
Intermediate experience in Finance Process handling, data analysis
Financial accounting skills including book-keeping.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
SAP system skills
Understanding of financial processes
Risk identification and management
Qualifications
Essential – Finance Graduate/Post Graduate in Commerce
