Job Title Team Lead – Income Recording & Recognition
Purpose of job:
To support Regional Hub in ensuring that Online & Offline Income processes are completed, and risks highlighted to ensure that the financial and accounting processes locally and regionally are adhered to
Role context
To manage team processing Bank Reconciliation process for Online & Offline Income
To manage team processing income recording for Online & Offline Income
To manage Refunds & Chargebacks process
To do quality review of reconciliations completed by the team
To do quality review of recording completed by the team
Main opportunities/challenges for this role
Accountabilities, responsibilities and main duties
To manage and monitor Bank Reconciliation, Income Recording, Refunds, & Chargeback process for Online & Offline transactions as per agreed SLA
Support the project team in implementation of centralising / standardizing Income Recording for various products globally from finance perspective
Prepare Month-end & other adhoc process reports as required by Internal management and Business Stakeholders and timely delivery of the same
Ensuring all online & offline income process related activities are performed as per agreed SLA
Ensure Regional service requests and incidents are resolved within agreed service levels
Support to Manger – Income Recording & Recognition in process management & highlighting any process risk for long term solution
Monitor Team performance on ongoing basis through regular reviews. Identify non-performers & address developmental needs
Identify Process Improvement projects, present to internal/ external stakeholders and obtain approval. Initiating process improvements there by improving the overall efficiency
Ensure all process documents are timely updated with process changes
Ensure support and compliance for all kinds of audit
Performance Management
To manage staff in agreed line of management, provide them with appropriate coaching and mentoring and to support the analysis of skills and other development needs and subsequent learning and development initiatives.
All aspects of the British Council’s performance management procedures and standards are used to induct, manage and develop staff members and to evaluate performance according to the agreed timetable.
Essential HR procedures and standards are applied consistently.
Staffs with in line of management have access to, and are encouraged to make use of, development opportunities.
Information Security
Ensure that their workforce are aware of the information security policies and comply with them
Ensures that the team complies to ISO 27001 and IGA related requirements
Send account opening requests effectively
Disable accounts immediately for leavers and Absconders /on long leaves
Document and monitor / review access levels of his/her team
Provide security awareness and education to team
Manage Records to ensure compliance to Freedom of information act
Ensure incidents of their respective functions are closed within SLAs
Role specific knowledge and experience
Minimum/essential
Experience in AR process handling, service delivery as per agreed service levels and managing process delivery team.
Process & Procedural experience in O2C
Qualifications:
Graduation OR Professional financial qualification (e.g. Inter CA, ICWA)
