About this role
Role is responsible for Programme Managing all operational activities across Technology India – working with broader Technology teams to deliver best operational experience for our colleagues in India.
New team & Centre build out
Responsible for project managing various elements of Technology India operational metrics , ie
Orchestrate development of location strategy, operating the strategy and change mgmt.
Work with various stakeholders to harmonise processes for employee engagement improvement. Baseline and define improvements
India GDC budget forecasting and control
Identify and work with leadership teams and HR to enable talent movements across the teams in India and UK
Regional Audit, Legal and Risk Committees – identify local risk, reporting and controls / mitigations for India GDC Chaired by David Viles
New team onboarding and experience mgmt.
Reporting key metrics and benchmarking against best in the industry
Identify and work with owners of policy’s around employees
Facilitate and manage return to work
Be the chief of staff for India operations
Secretariat for Technology India steering group (TISG)
Sharing India GDC best practices with other GDC’s for cohesiveness
Collaboration across, Finance teams, all N-3 and N-4 pan technology, HR , Huddles . Comms and finances.
You’ll have the following responsibilities
Decisions held
India operational KPI definition and operations
Define India employee engagement budget, agree with finances and put controls to manage it
Monthly reporting of KPI’s to TISG , improvement idea for India operations
Identify local award and recognition events that help build Technology India value proposition inside and outside BT
Revenue/ scope/ Scale of role
Direct Reports – none but needs to work matrix across N-3 and N-4 in order to deliver Technology India strategy
Budget mgmt. for India operations – employee engagement only
Host ExCo and MD level visit. Plan engagement activities working with comms team
Legal, Risk, Audit

Business expertise / commercial impact
Ability to lead, energise and engage wider team across N-4 and N-5 to successfully monitor and deliver outcomes.
Ability to support an open and transparent culture, supporting wider unit to deliver their objectives.
Ability to understand performance at an aggregate level – finance, objectives, critical tasks – and translate this into specific team activities and outcomes.
Ability to engage with all technology unit domains and delivery teams to establish right level of tracking and reporting against strategic transformation initiatives –providing updates and story-boards within unit and to CFU teams.
You’ll have the following skills & experience
Strong communicator capable of engaging and influencing leaders at N-2 and below. Provide timely and contextual updates at appropriate intervals to agreed stakeholders.
Collaboration and consultation across other technology units
Build strong working relationships across CFU and IT finance / operations teams, building trust and rapport and a shared sense of risk and issue management.
