Why this job matters
We’re in search of a product designer capable of supporting projects throughout the product development lifecycle, starting from initial design to final product delivery. The ideal candidate will ensure that BT products and features are crafted at the highest level,easy to use, and
deliver experiences that add significant value for customers.
What you’ll be doing
• Create detailed low and high-fidelity designs, prototypes, user flows, interfaces, interactions, and overall experiences via mock-ups and diagrams, in accordance with design best practices and brand guideline.
• Deliver required supporting documentation such as personas, sitemaps, story boards, user flows, etc. following the BT design best practice approach.
• Support digital-first experiences that achieve commercial goals such as increased digital channel share and clearer commercial impact.
• Support in brainstorming, conceptualizing, and iterating as needed.
• Participate in cross-functional workshops such as co-creation, empathy mapping, and journey mapping exercise.
• Support in the implementation of ways to improve the technical work within area of responsibility using partner feedback, user testing results, and other research to improve assets, products, and service.
• Support in the transformation of ideas, business opportunities, research, and creative vision into clear, usable, useful, and desirable outcomes for users.
• Gather user research and analytics insights to ensure user needs are met.
• Support design standards alongside an evolving design system and actively contributes to detailing specifications.
Skills Required
• Ability to understand and empathise with users, creating designs that cater to their needs and preferences.
• Proficiency in graphic design tool (Figma)
• Skill in creating prototypes and wireframes to visualise and test design concepts before implementation.
• Knowledge of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design principles to enhance the overall usability and aesthetics of a product.
• Proficiency in creating and maintaining components while actively contributing to the design system.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address design challenges and come up with innovative solutions.
• Ability to work well in a team, collaborating with other designers, developers, and stakeholders to bring a cohesive vision to life.
• Effective communication skills to convey design concepts, rationale, and solutions to team members and stakeholders.
• Willingness to stay updated on design trends, tools, and technologies to maintain a high level of expertise.
• A keen eye for detail to ensure delivery of pixel perfect designs.
