Why this job matters

This role works with multiple internal stakeholders to understand customer requirements and ensure we build high quality solutions to meet their needs. The role will manage a number of suppliers to deliver to time, cost and quality, ensuring development of best engineering practices, including agile and dev-ops. The role is also responsible for driving transformation and continuous improvement, evolving our billing and addressing solutions to be fit for the future. The specific focus of this role is in driving our strategy and adoption of cloud technologies whether on external cloud (GCP, AWS) or using internal cloud (Tanzu) capability.

What you’ll be doing

• Manages a team by providing technical direction and setting review processes for new developments and in life for products and services, setting priorities and allocating work accordingly.

• Reviews solutions to ensure full integration across all aspects and holds accountability for that solution within a domain or cross domain, ensuring consistency in architecture and technical processes.

• Validates and reviews team’s work to ensure architectural conformance and adherence to time and budget in scope.

• Holds accountability to ensure that the solution integration comes together for a domain or cross domain area ensuring that the overall solution works and expected.

• Technology design – You partner with the business to understand and analyse user requirements and inform the architecture design for software, systems and networks.

• Be agile – You identify opportunities to use collaborative approaches and continuous improvement. You contribute to projects as a subject matter expert or content owner.

• Software development: You write code. You develop and test complex or non-routine digital software and platforms to make sure they meet design requirements.

• Issue management: You research and recommend solutions to resolve routine problems. You escalate complex or unexpected issues as needed.
