Job Description
As a Backup Admin you will Monitor and manage backup capacity
Should be strong in Netbackup along with DD and other storage boxes
Should have experience in Build and configure of Netbackup servers and its components
Knowledge on Backup and Restore for physical servers VM s database for Netbackup servers
Should have thorough knowledge on restore procedure of various types including File system database VMs Bare metal etc
DR restoration of NetBackup environment SLP and lifecycle policies in Netbackup
Restore test and validations using netbackup Automation scripting knowledge will be added advantage
Troubleshooting of Problems Issues in Netbackup backup and restore jobs
Good Learning and Analytical Skills Should be able to quickly acquire
Technical Knowledge and Skills Provide Technical Support on Backup Software Monitor backup job schedule and performance
Support Backup and Recovery software platforms
Support service provisioning activities including Service starts stops suspends etc
Perform customer initiated Restore requests
Plans schedules and performs proactive maintenance including hardware and software upgrades and patch installation on Windows Linux and UNIX platforms
Perform backup environment system tuning including monitoring troubleshooting and optimizing performance Perform daily routine maintenance
Primary Skills
