Job Description

• Engage with security analysts to prepare and implement new data sources, field extractions and transforms
• Implement Splunk Common Information Model (CIM) field normalization for use with Splunk CIM Data Models
• Provide recommendation for and implement monitoring and automation for our Splunk infrastructure to ensure high uptime and optimal performance
• Work with customers to develop requirements, enhance dashboards, queries, lookup tables, documentation.
• Have experience working with any of the leading cloud technologies like AWS,GCP,Azure (YES)
• A degree in computer science or similar field (YES)
• Expertise in administering a Splunk cluster or similar big data system for at least 2 years. (YES)
• Experience using Splunk Search Processing Language (YES)
• Experience ingesting large data sources into a big data system (YES)
• Experience with agile methodologies and CI/CD (YES, prefer Ansible)
• Experience handling sensitive data (YES)
• Experience deploying/administrating a Splunk Premium App (strong preference for Splunk Enterprise Security) (Plus)
• Splunk training or official Splunk certification (Architect, Consultant, etc.) a big plus (Plus)
• Experience with cloud/grid deployment and computing. Familiarity with Hadoop ecosystem. (Plus)
• Experience with applying machine learning in product solutions (Plus)
• Experience with data pipelines, statistical analysis, machine learning, AI (Plus)

Primary Skills

• System administration background in Linux (YES)
