Cargill Ocean Transportation is a leading freight-trading organization that charters around 650 vessels at any given time. Sustainable shipping not only drives our ocean transportation business, it’s our purpose.
As part of the Technical team within Cargill Ocean Transportation, the Vessel Performance Specialist will be responsible for driving forth this purpose through the proactive monitoring and improvement of vessel performance across Cargill’s chartered fleet
Key Accountabilities
Ownership of Vessel Performance across a section of Cargill’s fleet
Track, analyse, and communicate performance trends and identify optimization opportunities
Collaborate with Trading and Operations teams to ensure efficient voyage execution
Support with projects to improve Energy Efficiency and develop digital tools
Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Minimum of two years of related work experience
Other minimum qualifications may apply
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:
Bachelor’s degree in Navigation or as a Marine Engineer, or Naval Architect or an equivalent degree
Sea going experience as a Marine Engineer or Senior Navigating officer and / or prior experience in a similar role is preferred
