Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Answer engineering calls / requests from shop floor / operations team during introduction and regular production of engines and gensets at Aurangabad

2. To participate in the design and development of complex, major engineering product or process projects for production release in a manner to ensure products provide superior performance, durability, quality, and serviceability

3. Responsibilities include working closely with other engine design team members and other component teams, as well as validation engineers to determine component and pack configuration, design, detailing and problem resolution

4. Resourcing of engine/Genset parts, supplier collaboration

5. BIQ engineering issue resolution and communication

6. Document and review all issues with appropriate issue owners

7. Work cross functional team to implement design fixes/changes

8. Support resolution of design related build issues discovered during production product

9. Manage VDRA and VDRA requests and audits

10. Assist with the resolution of labelling issues as needed (certification and product)

11. Work with design control and platform team to resolve / approve any required deviations and PCNs

12. Work on New Product/Source introduction and Current product issue related activities

13. Understanding and adhering to project schedule

14. Support CQMS, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 documentation and audits

15. Support and work in non-normal business hours as needed to work with global team.

Required qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering from an accredited and recognized university with more than 3years relevant engineering experience in large diesel engine design, engine component resourcing activities and manufacturing processes related to diesel engine assembly and test and paint

Proficient with Creo, TeamCenter, HVC and other design work tools

Knowledge of New Product Introduction and Current product issue resolution and processes

Proficient communication skills as well as presenting out to stakeholders
