Job Description

Cerner is hiring a Software Engineer IV. As a Software Engineer IV, you will lead the architecture, development of platform components for enterprise products. You will be responsible for creating architectural designs and performing code reviews on technical and functional correctness to build scalable and performance-optimized products. You will proactively identify gaps in the existing architecture and development process, acting as a catalyst for change for greater system and product efficiency. You will leverage deep technical and solution expertise to create clear, well-constructed technical designs of large scope and Code for high-risk projects that have product dependencies within and outside the current team and promote engineering culture and values across the organization. You are also expected to demonstrate broad thought leadership and influence through sharing knowledge outside the team through mentorship, coaching, technical talks, and blogs. Back to Description

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• At least 9 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:
  • 3 years software engineering work experience
  • 6 years completed higher education and/or additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job including:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 8 years of experience in software engineering
• Experience in Core Java, Spring-boot, RESTful experience, JPA, J2EE Architecture, SQL, Design Patterns
