Position Description:
Azure System administrator – Backup administrator is focus role to manage the Azure based cloud backups and support MARS and on-prem backups and ensure RTO/RPOs are met.

6+ years of experience in Backup solution and atleast 3+ years of experience in Azure Backup system admin activities.Must have Azure fundamental (AZ-900) and Azure System admin (AZ-104) certification.Must have knowledge on MARS and on-prem to cloud backups and backup migration to cloud.Must have knowledge on enable backups, schedule retention period, configuring storage gateway, managing vault processes with both on-prem and cloud backup services.Additional tools DPM / CommVault / EMC Networker solid background is must along with Azure backup administration skills.Well versed with backup schedule, retention policies and should be able to provide solution and manage subscriptions and optimize where possible.Work with dashboards and ensure RTO/RPOs are met as per design.Suggest on new solution to meet desired RTO/RPOs for applications, databases and servers.We are looking for technical leaders who are passionate about distributed storage or distributed large scale cloud services and who love solving deep challenges related to data integrity, scale, performance, quality, durability, availability and security while ensuring the lowest operational cost.Bachelor s or higher degree in Computer Science or a related field, with a solid foundation in data structures and algorithms.Familiar with Hyper-V / Vmware Virtualization, Windows & Linux Server management, and networking.Experience in Azure, Azure Storage, Microsoft SQL Server, Active Directory Services will be highly regarded.Proven capability of a quick learner, self-motivated, strong sense of responsibility and ability to work independentlyStrong technical troubleshooting or problem-solving skills, and passion for technology, customer service and cloudEnsure that the Azure (Cloud) infrastructure runs smoothly and efficientlyDesign, Implement, Configure and Manage Azure Services such as:
o Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, Active Directory Federation Services
o Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Azure Storage Monitor
o Azure Virtual Network, Network Security Gateways
Understands the underlying business processes and workflows that depend on Microsoft servicesMonitor performance and maintain systems according to requirementsTroubleshoot issues and outages and prioritize them to resolve problemsEngage peers following processes and procedures to resolve complicated issuesWork effectively across teams inside and outside of the organizationConfigure Azure Backup service for incremental and full backups with defined retention policies for VM, Storage and Databases.Implement Disaster Recovery solution using Azure Site Recovery for identified VMs and workloads.Document DR Run Book along with Application Administrators.Setup Network Configurations, VNets and related security configuration in the environment both on-prem and Azure.Leverage Availability Sets and Availability Zones to design fault tolerant architecture.Implement different cloud Storage services, Storage spaces (disk striping) and tune them for better performance, and availability.Mentor junior engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, operations engineers.
