What are the requirements?
Previous Team Lead role. 1 – 2 years of experience with demonstrated success with Change Healthcare’s Medicare Outreach process and mastery of MMS data entry. Demonstrated understanding of the Medicaid application process. Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care. Must maintain understanding of changes in state eligibility requirements.
Bachelor’s Degree in business management, health care administration, finance or a related field from an accredited college or university which demonstrates the ability to perform the functions of the position or 2+ years of experience in Government Relations/Outreach Department.
Physical Activities – While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.

What critical skills are needed for you to consider someone for this position?
1. Oversee Government Relations staff production and response rate as well as manage unit’s daily, weekly and monthly activities.
2. Meet departmental weekly and monthly production goals of staff who act as Eligibility Liaisons, Senior Eligibility Liaisons, Appeals & Hearing Specialists and Support Specialists
3. Develop and implement strategies and tools to ensure that the unit, as a whole meet their activity and production goals. Also is primarily responsible to develop, implement, and monitor strategies to assure quality and accuracy.
4. Oversee all Government Relations staff activity and ensure that proper analysis, tracking and reporting on this activity is accomplished appropriately.
5. Oversee that quality standards are being met by ensuring that staff are monitored for timely and proper communication with Medicaid agency contacts regarding Case Status Request inquiries, Already Enrolled inquires, denial reason inquiries, cases pending over 90 days and pending notice follow-up. Ensure that the Reed and Associate reports are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Also ensure that staff process incoming mail from government agencies and eligibility status verification, including coding in MMS, updating monthly statistical logs, scanning and disposition of eligibility verifications promptly, accurately and in a HIPAA compliant manner.
6. Lead, direct, motivate and develop the various Government Relations staff on performing at optimal production levels at all times.
7. Participate in the coordination of Humana Case Management activities, including eligibility status follow-up, case coding and reporting activities and provide feedback for operational and technical improvement for the Humana Case Management initiative.
8. Assist in the overview, analytical, and data management/reports supporting the operational aspects for Government Relations, including Humana Case Management.
9. Conduct training and oversight of the Government Relations staff operations including, but not limited to performance evaluations, direction, activities assignment and intervention, reporting and discipline.
10. Maintain current knowledge of state and federal regulatory requirements to adhere to strict compliance of all aspects of Change Healthcare’s Government Relations operations.
