About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing and Operations Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position is ideal for a proactive, results-driven professional with expertise in process optimization, supplier negotiations and lean manufacturing. You will work alongside experienced professionals, contributing to process improvements, production efficiency, and supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Vendor search and development
• Negotiate with suppliers to optimize material costs and maintain strong, mutually beneficial vendor relationships
• Setting up manufacturing and quality control processes at the contract manufacturer’s location
• Procurement of raw materials and semi-finished goods for lifestyle products
• Oversee the implementation of ERP (Odoo) and project management (Jira) systems to elevate visibility and streamline workflows
• Business Operations – Certifications, pricing, logistics
• Inventory management – Minimizing stockouts and excess inventory
• Execute rapid R&D prototyping to reduce lead times for new component designs, improving agility and speed to market
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and achieve operational excellence

Requirements:

• Ability to independently navigate challenges using ChatGPT
• A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Background in Mechanical Engineering or Business Administration
• 1-5 years of experience in a manufacturing setup
