Job Description

The candidate will be involved in the design and development of embedded software for our next generation carrier class networking products across the product line. This position will focus on security and vulnerability of the management plane software. You will be implementing the latest protocols and developing system components that provide overall chassis security, High Availability, non-service affecting software upgrades, alarm, customer interfaces and health services. As part of a highly successful software development team, you will be introduced to useful tools and resources that will help you grow both professionally and personally. The candidate will be expected to provide basic assessment of own work including effort estimation, status reporting and troubleshoot/fix reported issues. The candidate will get enough exposure for continuous learning and development of skills in the related domain.

Required Skills:
Understanding of basic networking concepts e.g. TCP/IP/MPLS, VLAN/Ethernet, Switching and Routing, QoS, DHCP, SNMP.
Understanding HW/ASIC/FPGA basics and their respective functions in networking platforms.
Good Python programming skills with exposure to debugging/trouble shooting over Linux/Unix based OS and passion to automation.
Proficient in handling multiple tasks and able to perform tasks prioritizing.
Must be able to communicate clearly by verbal and writing. Able to communicate technical issue to general consumers.
Must be disciplinant in following up and goal driven.
Self-starter with a strong can do belief, who can work in a dynamic environment with little supervision.

Education and Experience:
Bachelors/ Masters degree in computer science or a related discipline.
Decent written and verbal communication skills.
