Essential duties and responsibilities

• Collaborate with developers, business analysts and other team members to ensure quality is built into the product and process.
• Participate in and contribute to planning, design, and refinement sessions that follow design thinking principles.
• Assist in the creation of user stories and acceptance criteria to ensure the product being developed is testable and meets user requirements.
• Working with the team, plan testing to ensure the delivered functionality meets acceptance criteria.
• Create automated tests and provide advice to developers to ensure their automated tests have appropriate scope and coverage.
• Regularly update the automation framework to use the latest libraries and features.
• Execute automated and manual testing as appropriate, and collaborate with other team members to address test failures to ensure stories meet the definition of done.
• Perform testing, including functional testing, system testing and regression testing in a range of deployment environments, including virtual environments.
• Contribute to the release process by performing appropriate testing in a range of deployment environments.
• Maintaining and managing the QA CI pipeline through Jenkins.
• Performing Non-functional application tests including but not limited to Security and performance
• Reproduce client issues and confirm workarounds, configuration changes, or bug fixes effectively address the issue.
• Assist in the review of product documentation including implementation guides, help text and user guides.
• Contribute to the creation and refinement of internal processes.

Essential Competencies/Proficiencies required:

• Understanding of agile software development processes.
• Experience working in an agile team environment.
• Experience in testing a Java based web application.
• A working knowledge of SQL, preferably with experience in one or more RDBMS such as Microsoft SQL Server.
• Strong hands on Experience in Selenium Web-Driver, TestNG, Junit, BDD, Cucumber, etc.
• Sound knowledge of Java to be used with Selenium.
• Working hands-on knowledge of CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins.
• Sound knowledge of API testing.
• Must have strong fundamentals in manual testing, should have at least 3 years of manual testing experience.
• Experience in installation and configuration of Windows and web software, including device drivers and network operating system components, and IIS Server.
