What we’re looking for:

A frontend developer with willingness to understand overall system architecture, needs to be a team player, and displays the necessary customer empathy.

Position Overview:

An engineering lead in the Document workflows and Work collaboration space who will lead the initiatives specifically impacting the user experience. As a lead on a new team, you will drive initiatives end to end, working along side lateral functions like Product, Customer Experience, Security and SRE. Apart from the business initiatives, you will drive the long term vision and implementation for the application frontend that this team owns and ensure we design it for scale and meet performance requirements.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Architects and Product Management to define the foundations and roadmap of the team.

• Deliver high quality code considering design patterns, security, performance and optimizations inclusive of the necessary unit and integration tests.

• Enable the spirit of high quality code and software development best practices within the team through mediums like code reviews and other knowledge sharing platforms.

• Technical lead who can drive initiatives by collaborating across various teams and break it down to milestones for the rest of the team.

• Be on the look out for process improvements that can accelerate team efficiency and facilitates high performance.

• Mentor and guide other members on the team wherever there is an opportunity for knowledge sharing.

• Understand business and product well to work in conjunction with Product teams to arrive at the best deliverable considering customer experience and engineering feasibility.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in computer science engineering or related fields.

• At least 8+ years of experience in software development.

• Experience in any javascript based frontend technology like ReactJS, EmberJS, AnugularJS etc.

• Expertise in UI tech stack HTML/CSS, Saas, Bootstrap, Node.js, javascript/jquery

• Familiarity with package management tools like npm/yarn/bower

• Experience working with unit test frameworks like QUnit and others.

• Good understanding of UI architecture and client side performance.

• Familiarity in cross-browser performance and security issues.

• Experience in designing/developing applications of scale using modern patterns like micro-frontends, backend for frontend.

Good to have:

• Familiarity in responsive web application development

• Knowledge of Agile development practices.

• Any object-oriented programming languages like C#, Ruby, Java or others.

• Experience with cloud services preferably AWS/Azure.

• Experience in working with REST APIs, relational databases.

• Git, Jenkins and CI/CD processes.

• Experience with NoSQL, Redis, Elastic search.

• Docker and Kubernetes expertise.

• Knowledge of Agile development practices.
